I haven’t read many books with serial killers in them yet, but the ones I have (and the ones I’d like to get around to) all seem to have supernatural themes in them. She loves her best guy friend but doesn’t want to tell him, she goes to school and has a small but tight group of friends, and she can feel the echoes of the dead. So right away, I knew this was going to be different than anything I’d ever read (thus far). I’m used to reading about vampires, witches, werewolves, and ghosts. The words “morbid secret ability” intrigued me. This book really caught my eye when I first picked it up in the bookstore.
